PSA Lowers Prices — New $59.99 Standard Tier Opens September 14
PSA's backlog fell to 9.9 million cards (Sept 8), triggering a full service-level reorganization. New Standard tier at $59.99 (90-100 business days, $1,000 max) becomes the cheapest direct PSA option since June. Regular is renamed Priority at $79 (70-80 BD), Express rises to $199, Walk-Through is renamed Premier at $599. Value tiers remain paused until the backlog hits ~5M. PSA Value Tiers Still Paused — Until Backlog Reaches ~5M
PSA suspended Value Bulk, Value, Value Plus, and Value Max on June 2, 2026. The backlog has dropped from 12.4M (July 28) to 9.9M (Sept 8), but Value tiers stay paused until it reaches roughly 5 million cards. PSA plans to reopen tiers in phases. SGC Raised Standard Price from $15 to $50 — September 2, 2026
SGC's entry-level Standard tier jumped 233% from $15 to $50 per card. The budget alternative to PSA is no longer budget-friendly. SGC cited "rapidly increasing demand and continued expansion of estimated turnaround times." See all SGC tiers →
BGS Base & Standard Paused — Expected Reopen September 15
