Beckett Reopens Card Grading While Its Site Is Still Down — and PSA's New $59.99 Standard Tier Is Live

Beckett's FAQ is explicit that the reopening comes with no pricing changes and no extended turnaround estimates — the prices above are the same ones in effect before the pause. It also warns that availability is conditional: "if demand or existing backlog reaches a level where we can no longer consistently meet estimated turnaround times for a service level, we may temporarily pause new submissions." In other words, treat these tiers as open-until-further-notice, not permanently restored.

How the Temporary Submission Form Works

Because Beckett.com's normal submission pipeline is offline, all new orders run through a hosted form (a JotForm) that calculates fees as you go. The fine print matters:

• One card type per submission. Sports and Non-Sports/TCG cards cannot be mixed in a single order — mixed submissions may be split into separate orders with separate shipping and insurance charges.

• Autograph fee: +$5 per autographed card.
• Oversized fee: +$8 per card larger than 3" x 5".
• Re-case/re-label: charged at the published card rate for the selected service.

The total shown on the form is an estimate — Beckett reviews and verifies every submission, and the final total is confirmed at the invoice step after the order reaches their office. If the details you entered are wrong, Beckett may adjust the order and the charges will reflect the correction.

Two more practical notes: Beckett EU submissions are not available through the form, and collectors can still submit in person at events where Beckett offers submission services. Drop-offs and pickups at Beckett HQ in Plano continue by appointment — and the company has added a smart locker system for faster pickup of completed orders.

What Is Still Offline at Beckett

The grading floor is open; the digital platform is not. As of September 16, 2026, the following remain unavailable:

• Beckett.com and the mobile app — no account access, no online order-status tools.
• The Beckett Population Report, Price Guides, Marketplace, and Registry — all the tools normally accessed through the site.
• Priority tier ($124.95, 5 business days) — not offered on the temporary form, so the fastest Beckett option currently available is Express at 15 business days.
• The $14.95 no-subgrade Base option — the cheapest Beckett entry point is now Base with subgrades at $17.95.

If you are deciding between BGS Base ($17.95) and PSA Standard ($59.99)
