A common manufacturing defect located consistently in the top-left quadrant of base cards and silver prizms. Large "craters" in the chrome finish prevent PSA 10 grades.
● Centering Shift
Widespread Left-to-Right shift averaging 58/42. Cards hitting 60/40 or worse are being strictly capped at PSA 9 under 2026 grading standards.
● Edge Chipping
White "flecking" found on the rear bottom edge due to dull factory blades during the die-cutting phase of production batch B-2401.
● Corner Integrity
Corners remain the strongest attribute of this set, with 94.2% meeting "Pristine" vertex specifications despite surface issues.

Defect Glossary
Surface Issues

Horizontal or vertical lines caused by rollers during the printing process. Common on chrome/foil cards.

Dimples
Small indentations in the card stock/finish. Often caused by dust particles on the lamination plates.

Clouding / Haze
A foggy appearance on the surface gloss. Can sometimes be removed with microfiber cleaning (see our Cleaning Guide).
Edge & Corner Issues

Whitening
Exposure of the white paper stock at corners or edges. The #1 value killer for vintage cards.

Silvering
Edge chipping on foil cards that reveals the metallic layer underneath. Common on early 90s inserts.

Soft Corners
Corner fibers that are not sharp (90 degrees) but blunted. Often caused by improper storage in binders.
